Since I can remember, I was drawn to science and human anatomy.  I could spend hours paging through old books with drawn illustrations of the human body and the detail of it's systems.  As I grew, so did my passions.  I became enamored not only with the mechanics of the human body, but also with the power of our minds, the innate connection between body/mind and the magic of intuition.  There is so much in today's life that keeps us occupied from the present moment creating a barrier from your innate, intuitive senses.  Receiving a massage gives you an opportunity to slow down your mind, tune into your body and become aware of internal sensations.  Not only is it a tool to decrease tension and stress, but also a tool to increase your interoception and proprioception -- both known to naturally decrease pain in the body.

After Massage Therapy, I pursued further my fascination with the body, it's mechanics and our mind/body connection with receiving my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certificate in 2013 & completing my 500hr in 2014.  The style of yoga I appreciate most is one that directly communicates with the mind/body connection.  Developing tools and skills on your mat that directly translate into real life situations.  Tuning into your senses and developing a deeper connection to your body from the inside out helps to remain conscious through turbulent times in your life and return to a state of balance faster.

It almost seems serendipitous that I learned of Clinical Somatics Education, a practice that I feel is a large missing link in our lives... a way to heal from injury, chronic pain, postural dysfunctions and all external stresses.  My training and personal experience with Clinical Somatics has directly affected how I look at all the other things I do in my life and career, and therefore, influences my massage practice and teaching methods of yoga.  You know you found your calling when it feels like you've always been connected to the work.  That's how I feel about CSE, it resonates with me deeply.   I am driven to help people be able to live joyful pain-free lives all the way to the end.  I believe we can do all the things we love (with ease) through all ages of life!
It is my intention & priority to welcome you with open arms, an open heart, and an open mind to create a safe space for healing.
